Did you know that you can use any of our printables as a OneNote Digital Planner Template as well? It’s actually really simple to do and only takes a few clicks of the mouse. OneNote Notebooks are great to use for Digital Planning and are by far my favorite for two reasons, it’s very customizable, yet very simple to use. Ready to learn how? Let’s get started!
Step 1: Getting Started
First off, we want to open our notebook and get started with fresh new page.
Step 2: Insert PDF
Now that you have a new page ready for your planner, we are going to add the PDF to our OneNote page by going to the top of the window and clicking on “Insert.” Next, you will click “File Printout” and browse your computer for the planner PDF you would like to use.
Step 3: Arrange your pages
Once you have added the PDF to your page it will look something like this. TIP: Hold CTRL + Scroll on your mouse to zoom in and out. I like to zoom way out while I’m straightening up my pages. Now you can delete any extra pages and move your pages around. If you want your pages together like a spread, simply click and drag to move your second page up next to your first page.
Step 4: Set Picture as Background
Now that you have your pages where you want them, let’s lock them in! Right click on your page and select “Set Picture as Background.” You will need to do this for each page. Don’t worry, if you need to move them again, simply right click and uncheck the “Set Picture to Background” option. You can do this whenever you need to.
Step 5: Enjoy your new Digital Planner on OneNote!
Your OneNote page should now look something like this and be ready to use! It may take a bit of getting used to, but the best thing to do is to just explore and click around! You can click anywhere and type right on the page, add images for stickers or even write on the page directly with a stylus. You just learned the basics to getting started and how to use OneNote as a digital planner!

Great idea! I use one note for work to keep track of all my documents, projects, to do, notes, and EVERYTHING else. I didnt know you could do this! This will change everything! Lol
